Our Daily Communicative Contexts: More Evidence for the Food Environment Puzzle

Much of the research on food environments suggests that problematic access to healthy restricts its consumption, contributing adverse outcomes such as obesity, stroke, and heart disease. In addition these direct relationships, we propose indirect relationships involving Communication Mediation Model (CMM). Using nationally representative survey data from 1435 adults in United States, explore multipronged role perceived play shaping communication, attitudes, reflective considering communicative contexts. Results indicate a negative correlation between perception difficult environment supporting prior research. Most importantly, is also negatively correlated with news media use, discussion, attitudes about eating within CMM. Our findings suggest communication effects consumption compound detrimental effects.
